The Treasure of the lost Oasis of Mandara
A caravan leader found a half-weathered scroll in the ruins. It apparently came from the oasis of Mandara, which was abandoned many years ago. The Scribes were able to decipher it:
“The water was less and our fresh water is too salty, the lake dried up and the plants died. So we had to act quickly so that our water resources are rich, the most important work was the mine of diamonds, to help all also had to free and remove the diamond mine. The guards were very attentive, it’s not a diamond could be stolen. Crated and heavily guarded they were taken to a secret location in gor and from there packed in smaller boxes and distributed to gor and at secret locations that no one except the Pasha will ever find hidden. All that could take the people of Mandara, they travel with the name, the only one left behind Ausgetrockneter and salinized lake with abandoned settlement Mandara. Verwart the Home Stone well and ventured on a journey into the uncertain to find a new Fertile soil, should arise where the largest city, seen gor ever, has it should, it is said like a tower up to the sky and space for hundreds of thousands Goreans and slaves, healers, warriors and all occupations in which it is to be Gor.
Let the priest-kings protect us on our journey and leave quickly find a fertile place. With plenty drinkable water and a Grand Floral”
The caravan leaders tell each other that the gold of the oasis of Mandara Gold is still hidden near the ruins, but no one has found it yet.
A large group of heavily armed fighters gathered in the Oasis of Lame Kaiila because they had heard of bandits following caravans.
We set off when the blazing sun had almost set. Since some of us knew the way to the exchange point in Klima, we didn’t have to search for the way between the dunes.
We followed the caravan leaders’ instructions and after a long search we found a few ruins and a water hole far away from the known paths. A treasure chest with a key and several gold bars were found hidden deep in the sand.
But as we had feared, we met bandits at the Exchange Point. They had followed a caravan, but did not know the way back. After a hard fight, we lost, were all tied up and locked in the buildings of the Exchange Point. Since the bandits did not know about the treasure, they could not steal it. They even left the weapons behind. After a while, warriors came directly from the Oasis of Klima and freed everyone.
Some were wounded and had to be supported. But after a difficult march we reached the salt mines of Klima.
In T’Zshals’s Inn, we discussed how to proceed next time. We probably need more warriors to make the routes to Klima really safe.
